We are seeking a skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team at EMCOR Inc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of our line of services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements, adhering to company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems, including unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures as needed.
  • Conduct routine painting, carpentry work, and other tasks to maintain our clients' facilities in like-new condition.
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance, including repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches, and outlets, and replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and sockets as necessary.
  • Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
  • Utilize technology, including tablets and smartphones, to access and complete work orders, create and submit service reports, and submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
  • Obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks and maintain timely and consistent communications with customers and internal support teams.
  • Obtain and complete required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings.
  • Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed to onsite customers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or degree/certification in a related field, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades, or specialty floor care.
  • Two to five years of mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals, and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
  • Ability to use and operate handheld devices and business systems or document management database software.
  • Compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Maintenance of adequate knowledge of and compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Frequently required to climb or balance. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment:

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is considered normal. Required to drive a company vehicle daily.
