Role Summary:

The Mechanical Foreman will be tasked with supervising the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems at various construction sites. This role involves leading a team of skilled technicians and ensuring that all projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and direct the activities of mechanical technicians, ensuring that tasks are allocated and completed per project timelines and specifications.
  2. Manage the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems, including HVAC, adhering to building codes and industry regulations.
  3. Conduct routine inspections of job sites to verify compliance with safety protocols and quality assurance measures.
  4. Provide hands-on training and mentorship to team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles.
  5. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to guarantee that project timelines are met and any challenges are addressed promptly.
  6. Maintain comprehensive records of work performed, including materials utilized, labor hours, and project milestones.
  7. Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical systems and equipment as required, ensuring timely interventions.
  8. Assist in sourcing materials and equipment necessary for projects, ensuring they align with project specifications and budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in mechanical systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a mechanical foreman or in a comparable role within the construction sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly HVAC.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively guide and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective interactions with team members, contractors, and clients.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Capacity to work independently and make informed decisions in a dynamic construction environment.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.
