*Travel, PRN, Short-Term Options, etc.). Operate radiographic machinery to generate clinical diagnostic images. Adhere to the regulations, policies, and procedures of Genesys Regional Medical Center. Deliver exceptional patient care, utilizing universal precautions, sterile techniques, and ensuring patient confidentiality while upholding medical ethics.

Produce high-quality radiographs by selecting appropriate technical parameters, accurately positioning patients, choosing suitable contrast media as requested by the radiologist, and effectively manipulating various equipment components.

This includes obtaining portable radiographs in various nursing units, operating rooms, and emergency departments, based on factors such as patient age, physical condition, and medical conditions.

Represent the healthcare facility positively both within and outside the work environment. Maintain excellent guest relations to enhance the image of the Radiology department and Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Properly label completed radiographs with patient name, medical record number, and date. Additionally, document procedures performed in the hospital management information system and network system.
Stay informed on new developments, trends, equipment, and procedures through technical journals, educational programs, in-services, and seminars.
Assist in training and mentoring radiology students and new staff members.
Serve as a technical resource for radiology residents and radiologists.
Report any equipment malfunctions to management or service representatives.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and equipment.
Assist with clerical tasks and patient transportation when necessary.
Present a neat and professional appearance, adhering to the hospital dress code.
Ability to maneuver standard radiological equipment.
Must effectively communicate orally, in writing, by telephone, and with staff, physicians, and patients.
Ability to learn to operate hospital and radiology computer systems and AGFA networking.
Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards. Work environment spans the entire hospital.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 6 months of hire or job transfer date.

Alternatively, certification by the American Registry of Clinical Radiography Technologists (ARCRT) is acceptable; candidates must possess at least a high school diploma and have completed an accredited 2-year radiology program.
