Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality computerized tomography exams using advanced radiation computers and patient evaluation techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams by establishing necessary intravenous medications and administering oral and/or IV contrast media.
  • Operate computerized tomography scanners and power injectors to produce high-quality images.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Utilize radiation protection devices and infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
  • Schedule and charge patients, retrieve films, and facilitate physician/patient inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure understanding of exam procedures and results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care and promote effective communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the diagnostic imaging department.
Requirements
  • Completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT registry and 20 hours of documented CT training (10 hours on-the-job).
  • Continuing education credits to maintain registry status and certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Effective written and verbal communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume department with attention to detail and organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in general diagnostic radiology.
  • Computerized Tomography (CT) certification.
  • Computer competency and ability to use software required for the job.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, and kneeling. Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform push/pull tasks. Must be able to physically operate safe patient movement equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
