Job Overview

Southwest Missouri Bank is seeking a dedicated Assistant Supervisor for our Call Center. This role will support the Customer Service Supervisor in managing the customer service team, ensuring efficient responses to customer inquiries and effective resolution of issues.

Position Details:

Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week availability, including weekdays and some Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients via phone, online chat, and in-person interactions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of banking products and services, including internet and mobile banking.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to enhance proficiency in departmental functions.
  • Assist in scheduling, training, and conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Act as the lead in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with bank policies and regulatory standards.
  • Investigate transactions and follow up with customers as necessary.
  • Represent the bank at community events.
  • Identify opportunities to promote bank products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in banking or a related financial field is essential.
  • Strong customer service and active listening abilities.
  • Proficient management and supervisory skills.
  • Professional demeanor and effective communication skills.
  • Familiarity with internet and mobile banking tools.
  • Experience in customer service within the banking sector is preferred.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Competent in using computer applications (e.g., Jack Henry, Microsoft Word, Excel, Optima, Deluxe, SMBonline, and mobile applications).

Physical Requirements:

  • This role is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods, utilize a computer, and communicate via telephone.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in banking and customer service is necessary, with preference given to candidates with prior teller, online banking, or loan experience, as well as supervisory experience.
