Position Overview:

The Client Relationship Specialist at NAPAA is tasked with nurturing and enhancing profitable connections with clients while expanding the portfolio through new client acquisitions.

This role also involves upholding robust customer relationships by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally through daily interactions with clients, insurance providers, and colleagues, while executing specific service and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, assess, and cultivate insurance prospects with both new and existing clients through various communication channels including in-person meetings, online interactions, phone calls, and written correspondence.
  2. Build and sustain exceptional relationships with clients and prospects through consistent follow-ups, precise and timely quotations, and comprehensive account support.
  3. Proactively address, respond to, and follow up on all client needs.
  4. Engage in networking and strategic planning to attract new clients and business opportunities.
  5. Track, analyze, and report on essential metrics to ensure sales objectives are met, while maintaining accurate and professional documentation of sales activities.
  6. Collaborate with team members, mentor junior staff, provide expertise, and participate in both formal and informal meetings as required.
  7. Assist and prepare clients for renewals and retention, ensuring strong client relationships are upheld.
  8. Maintain continuing education and stay informed about industry trends, new product offerings, regulations, coverages, and technological advancements to enhance knowledge and performance.
  9. Review client audits, confirm and facilitate necessary corrections, and manage accounts receivable and billing.

Qualifications:

  • Possess the necessary insurance license as mandated by your state and have a minimum of two years of experience in personal and commercial lines insurance account management, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and/or have access to reliable transportation.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively acquire new business and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of success in business-to-business sales.
  • Possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales effectively.
  • Be client-oriented, focused on customer satisfaction, and assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing current clients.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex assignments independently, sound business judgment, strong decision-making capabilities, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and possess proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software.
