Salary:
$112K-146K DOE.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of the company's track business, which is a new digital venture.
- Conduct market research and drive business development efforts, including proposals, bids, negotiations, account management, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Formulate long-term and short-term market strategies and assess their effectiveness.
- Identify and develop business opportunities to provide the company's products and solutions effectively.
- Manage the entire bidding process and requests for proposals (RFPs) for potential projects.
- Establish strategic partnerships to enhance the company's market position and create additional business opportunities.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to improve the company's offerings.
- Oversee all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and relevant regulations.
- Lead the development of strategies to address complex commercial and contractual issues, including change orders.
- Manage a team, ensuring appropriate resources are allocated to support each project and maintain effective business development processes.
- Facilitate training for team members to enhance their business development and account management skills.
- Collaborate with project managers and legal counsel to resolve specific commercial and contractual challenges.
Qualifications:Skills and Competencies:
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proven expertise in claim preparation and negotiation.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in project and account management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with market demands in the rail and transportation industry.
- A collaborative team player capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to travel domestically as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in business development and account management, particularly within the railroad or transportation sector.
