Salary Range:

$112K-146K DOE


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of the company's track business, focusing on new digital initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and drive business development efforts, including proposals, bids, negotiations, and account management.
  • Manage compliance with federal and state regulations as required by contracts.
  • Formulate and implement both long-term and short-term market strategies, assessing their effectiveness.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities to promote the company's products and solutions.
  • Lead the bidding process and manage requests for proposals (RFPs) for new projects.
  • Establish strategic partnerships to enhance market positioning and business opportunities.
  • Gather customer feedback and analyze market demands to inform business improvements.
  • Direct all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to contract terms and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop strategies for addressing complex commercial and contractual challenges, including change orders.
  • Manage a team, ensuring the allocation of resources to support project execution effectively.
  • Facilitate training programs to enhance the team's business development and account management skills.
  • Collaborate with project managers and legal counsel to resolve specific commercial and contractual issues.

Qualifications:Skills and Competencies:
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Proven experience in claim preparation and negotiation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project and account management principles.
  • Familiarity with market demands in the rail and transportation sectors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently as a collaborative team player.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software.
Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in business development and account management, particularly within the railroad or transportation industry.
