Installation Team Leader

OBJECTIVE
Oversees the assembly of pre-manufactured components such as windows, doors, insulation, and related materials at client locations.

Accountable for all facets of installation operations, including strategizing, coordinating, and delegating tasks to achieve or surpass installation timelines.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizes installation schedules by aligning with sales commitments and production loads. Ensures cost-effective delivery methods are employed and optimizes the use of materials handling equipment and transport vehicles.

Tracks installation timelines to manage the delivery of materials, the sequence of installers, and to maximize the efficiency of equipment and workforce; maintains records of progress against installation targets.

Addresses issues on the installation site; prepares change orders, suggests modifications to the installation timeline, and discusses quality concerns with subcontractors as necessary.

Maintains oversight of material inventories, production schedules, and other elements influencing installation timelines.

Manages assigned personnel, including recruitment and training; planning, assigning, and directing tasks; conducting performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing grievances and resolving issues.

Adheres to and promotes all safety protocols to prevent injuries to oneself or colleagues; participates in regular safety meetings as required; may propose enhancements to safety practices.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Oversees designated staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, an individual must be capable of fulfilling each essential duty effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) along with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Familiarity with company policies and standards for product installations.
Understanding of business mathematics.
Capability to supervise and enhance productivity through team efforts.
Ability to interpret and compose delivery schedules and reports.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
