ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Installation Team Lead, you will oversee the setup of pre-fabricated components such as windows, doors, and insulation at various job sites. You will be accountable for managing all facets of installation operations, including planning, coordinating, and delegating tasks to meet or surpass installation timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate installation schedules by aligning with sales commitments and production timelines, ensuring cost-effective delivery methods are utilized.
  • Monitor installation progress to synchronize material deliveries, installer sequences, and optimize equipment and workforce utilization; maintain records of installation activities against targets.
  • Address and resolve issues on installation sites; prepare change orders, suggest modifications to schedules, and discuss quality concerns with subcontractors as necessary.
  • Keep track of material inventories, production schedules, and other elements impacting installation timelines.
  • Supervise team members, including recruitment and training; plan, assign, and direct work; conduct performance evaluations; recognize and address employee concerns.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to prevent injuries; participate in safety meetings and propose enhancements to safety practices as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES

Oversees assigned personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A high school diploma or GED and a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Understanding of company standards and practices for product installations.
  • Proficiency in business mathematics.
  • Ability to lead and enhance productivity through effective supervision.
  • Capability to interpret and create delivery schedules and reports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical requirements for this position include a mix of indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Primarily office-based work with occasional physical activity.
  • May involve lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Some oversight responsibilities may occur outdoors, subject to varying weather conditions.
