About Hitachi Energy: Hitachi Energy's HVDC Installation Department specializes in executing mechanical and electrical installation tasks for projects on a global scale. The team also offers technical assistance for bidding and sales processes, while supporting the engineering department in design enhancements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise electrical installations on-site for high voltage projects around the world, overseeing activities such as cable pulling, terminations, and the setup of junction boxes and control cubicles.
  • Travel to various customer sites, primarily within North America, with potential opportunities for international assignments.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy's core principles of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and prioritizing the safety of colleagues and the organization.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure the efficient and cost-effective execution of installation tasks while adhering to quality and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of installation activities.
  • Coordinate installation efforts with the Installation Manager/Site Manager.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that proper documentation is utilized on-site and provide constructive feedback for project documentation.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external suppliers.

Your Background:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or substantial experience in electrical installation for large-scale projects.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Experience in supervising installations is advantageous.
  • Preference for candidates with prior experience in HVDC, FACTS, or Substation projects.
  • Must possess valid work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.
