Job Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Surgical Coordinator to support our surgical team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for coordinating patient care, scheduling surgeries, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, surgeons, and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule surgeries and manage patient flow to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Coordinate patient medical history and clearance with Nurse Practitioners and/or PCPs
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures and preoperative preparation
  • Collect payments and manage patient billing
  • Perform EMR documentation and identify proper surgery sites and procedures
  • Assist with ophthalmic procedures and testing as needed
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of ocular pharmacology and medical terminology is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and stand for long periods
