Nursing Behavioral Health Specialist

As a skilled Nursing Behavioral Health Specialist at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, you will play a vital role in coordinating patient-focused teams to provide direct and collaborative healthcare in various clinical settings. Your expertise will be utilized to promote and restore optimal health across the lifespan, taking into account individual, cultural, and religious diversities and needs. You will work closely with patients and families to develop comprehensive, coordinated, and seamless care plans, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans that prioritize patient needs and involve family members in the decision-making process.
- Monitor patients' clinical status, assess for significant changes, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure timely interventions.
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with hospital policies, while maintaining accurate records.
- Perform venipuncture and start intravenous lines safely, adhering to established protocols.
- Active RN license
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting
- Minimum 1 year of experience in coronary care practice
