PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace damaged or worn components across various utility equipment brands to meet quality benchmarks within budget.
  • Operate and assess machines or heavy equipment to identify defects.
  • Adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose issues using pressure gauges, flow test equipment, and calibration tools.
  • Reconstruct gearboxes and hydraulic systems efficiently, ensuring no rework is necessary.
  • Conduct initial inspections and diagnostics, accurately identifying required parts.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Perform hose replacements and assembly with precision.
  • Test mechanical products post-repair to confirm compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on machinery and vehicles.
  • Inspect safety devices and ensure compliance with organizational quality standards.
  • Interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and technical schematics.
  • Utilize hydraulic jacks or hoists to elevate vehicles and heavy components for inspection and repair.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor to manage costs effectively.
  • Submit repair orders for supervisory approval to maintain budget integrity.
  • Propose innovative solutions to challenges and communicate them to leadership.
  • Adhere to best practices for a safe working environment and participate in safety meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
