Overview:
Join our dynamic team at General Construction Company as an Automation Engineer. We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong background in electronics or electrical engineering to support our automation systems in a heavy industrial setting.

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in automation engineering within a heavy industrial context.
  • Experience with cement processes and familiarity with 5's KPI methodologies is preferred.
  • Proficient in communication protocols such as Allen Bradley RIO, Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, DeviceNet, and ControlNet.
  • Hands-on experience with Factory Talk VIEW or similar HMI/MMI systems.

Responsibilities:

As an Automation Engineer, you will:

  • Assist the Automation Engineer and Maintenance Manager in maintaining and optimizing engineering systems for plant automation.
  • Support operational teams during routine plant operations and troubleshooting activities.
  • Conduct analyses of electronic and automation equipment, applying Continuous Improvement (CI) and High Performance (HP) methodologies to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Review and modify equipment start sequences and interlocking processes while ensuring adherence to 5S KPIs.
