Position Overview:

Ovy Signature Catering is seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to support our Chef/Owner in managing kitchen operations and leading our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining our reputation for exceptional food quality and service at various events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide a team of culinary professionals during preparation and event execution, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and train kitchen personnel, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and providing constructive feedback.
  • Operational Oversight: Develop and implement detailed task lists, manage station assignments, and ensure consistency in recipe execution while upholding high culinary standards.
  • Collaboration: Work in tandem with the Chef/Owner to identify areas for improvement, communicate operational needs, and contribute to the creation of new menu items.
  • Quality Control: Supervise all food preparation processes, ensuring each dish meets our high standards of quality and reflects our commitment to from-scratch cooking.
