About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at The Peninsula Hong Kong. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine in planning, directing, and controlling the day-to-day preparation and production of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in planning and executing menus, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Oversee the production of all food products, ensuring that they are prepared to the highest standards and that there is minimal wastage.
  • Assist in the management of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that all health and safety standards are met, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Work closely with the Executive Sous Chef to ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and work in a team.
  • Ability to create new and innovative dishes, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
