Senior Commercial Manager

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Commercial Team. This role will be responsible for managing our existing accounts in the Northeast and driving additional business development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer-facing roles, with at least 3 years of experience in the utility, DER, renewable project development, and/or energy markets sector.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day and strategic relationships with key utility customers in the Northeast
- Advising utility staff on DER market approach and guiding their teams on DER market implementation best practices
- Contributing to Piclo as a thought leader in the US energy and DER sphere
- Growing Piclo's presence at events, trade associations, industry happenings
- Supporting market participation through networking, targeted engagement, and partnerships
- Ensuring our software team delivers the product on-time as agreed upon, and influencing the product roadmap
- 5 years minimum work experience in a customer-facing role
- Utility program management and/or energy markets expertise
- Demonstrated track record of external stakeholder engagement and management
- Excellent communication skills with experience developing concise presentations and campaigns
- Entrepreneurial attitude with a demonstrated ability to work self-sufficiently, flexibly, and resourcefully
- Ability to travel periodically for customer meetings or business development opportunities
