About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition and HR Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at Gecko Hospitality. This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional to contribute to a well-established organization in Southern California's wine country.

Job Summary: As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance management. You will provide strategic leadership and operational support while fostering a culture aligned with company values.

Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition: Manage the entire recruitment process, from job postings to interviewing and hiring top talent for our hospitality and food and beverage clients.
  • HR Operations: Oversee compliance with federal and state employment laws, including California-specific regulations such as FEHA, CFRA, and PAGA. Administer employee benefits in coordination with accounting and handle unemployment and workers' compensation claims, investigations, and resolution of associate concerns.
  • Policies and Procedures: Update and implement HR policies, procedures, and handbooks to ensure alignment with company values and regulatory requirements.
  • Technology and Data: Maintain our HRIS and coordinate payroll and accounting compliance to ensure seamless integration with our business operations.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of HR management experience in the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
  • Certification: PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of employment laws, particularly California regulations, strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, proficiency in HRIS, ATS software, and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Salary and Benefits:

  • Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, paid time off, including floating holidays and designated paid holidays.

Additional Requirements: The role requires occasional availability outside regular business hours, including weekends or evenings, and may involve physical demands such as lifting up to 25 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working in outdoor environments.
