The Construction Project Coordinator plays a vital role within the estimating and project management teams. Collaborating closely with experienced construction professionals, you will oversee and execute commercial projects as part of a leading national construction firm. This position is essential for ensuring the precision and quality of project-related information and activities. You will actively contribute to the management of prestigious commercial construction initiatives in the local market.

Key Responsibilities

Change Order Management

  • Evaluate and price change orders, submitting requests to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of change orders and budgetary details.
  • Communicate budget and change order information to the Project Manager.
    • Provide change order details to field personnel.
    • Maintain an accurate Change Order log.
Estimating Duties
  • Generate estimates for new projects.
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs and gather subcontractor pricing.
  • Support clients with budgeting and value engineering efforts.
  • Foster client relationships by exceeding expectations.
Daily Operations
  • Review daily reports for accuracy, including account numbers and other critical data.
  • Supervise field reports and accounting submitted by field personnel.
  • Coordinate effectively with General Contractors.
  • Assist with project correspondence.
  • Provide updated plans and schedules to the Project Manager and General Contractor.
  • Maintain a comprehensive project log.
Scheduling Responsibilities
  • Develop and update job schedules as necessary.
  • Manage sales-backlog schedules.
Continuous Evaluation
  • Assess costs related to materials and labor.
  • Evaluate schedules, equipment needs, personnel requirements, job safety, and quality control.
  • Communicate any issues, changes, or recommendations to the Project Manager.
  • Schedule and procure all necessary materials.
  • Coordinate deliveries to optimize the use of materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the public, engineers, inspectors, and clients to facilitate project progress and enhance the company’s reputation.
