Job Summary
Data-Mail is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Envelope Operations Manager to oversee the planning and coordination of printing and envelope converting operations. This key role is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of production processes, managing staff, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of Envelope staff, ensuring adherence to quality control procedures and proper staffing levels.
- Manage employee work responsibilities, instruct on methods and procedures, and monitor activities to meet work schedules and stimulate maximum productivity.
- Interview and hire employees, conduct performance reviews, and enforce company policies.
- Collaborate with clients on press checks to ensure job quality meets expectations.
- Consult with department managers on printing recommendations and oversee preventative maintenance of printing equipment.
- Order supplies, maintain inventory control, and work with quality control technicians to update policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry technological changes and advise on capital improvements.
- Comply with company rules and regulations, maintain confidentiality, and implement a commitment to quality philosophy.
- Communicate activities and situations impacting corporate or department goals and objectives.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of printing and envelope converting experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory position.
Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Managerial, customer service, organizational, and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of printing and basic computer skills.
