Job Title: Injury Claims Specialist

As a Claims Adjuster Specialist at Progressive Insurance, you will play a critical role in managing attorney-represented bodily injury claims. Your expertise in assessing and evaluating liability, coverage, and damages will be essential in negotiating and settling claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine coverage and liability for claims
  • Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys to reach a settlement
  • Set reserves and estimate cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents
  • Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow up with no-fault parties, and manage the claims process to ensure efficient resolution
  • Interview, collect, and document information from various parties, including claimants, agents, brokers, attorneys, and police
Requirements:
  • Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling, or
  • One year in claims handling and a bachelor's degree, or
  • Three years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling and an associate degree
Preferred Skills:
  • Auto and/or commercial insurance experience
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $65,800 - $85,100/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 16% of eligible earnings based on company performance
