PSM Specialist

• Develop and implement CalARP and/or PSM-RMP programs, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Provide technical guidance and training to plant employees on ammonia refrigeration systems, CalARP, PSM, RMP, and process instrumentation.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on refrigeration systems, reviewing maintenance tasks and PMs to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Establish a plant CalARP/PSM team, holding regular meetings and communicating results to plant and Refrigeration Services teams.
• Work with approved contractors and internal resources to perform audits, maintenance, and inspections on refrigeration systems and plant performance.
• Lead incident investigation activities related to ammonia systems, including report completion and communication to the plant, Refrigeration Services, and corporate groups.
• Provide technical support to the plant maintenance supervisor/manager on CalARP and/or PSM & RMP, participating in teams and projects as needed.
• Maintain a working knowledge of refrigeration systems, CalARP, PSM (14 elements), RMP, ARM, and applicable state and federal rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with facility management to ensure CalARP/PSM-RMP requirements are met.
• Participate in routine Saputo Refrigeration Services team and PSM Specialists conference calls.
• Support Saputo Refrigeration Services, Health & Safety, Risk Management, and Environmental Department initiatives.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Industrial Risk Management, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, with 2 or more years of relevant experience in food/dairy manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems, CalARP, PSM, RMP, process instrumentation, and process drawings.
• Ability to develop relationships and influence at all levels internally and externally.
• Strong strategic thinking skills with broad-based business acumen and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, prioritization, time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, project, and manufacturing software.
