Healthcare DME Corporation is in search of a part-time Medical Equipment Logistics Specialist. We require an individual who is dependable, trustworthy, and reliable to operate our company vehicle. The primary focus of this role will be the delivery and installation of medical equipment in patient residences. This position is part-time, with working hours between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and may occasionally involve weekend and overnight deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:- Receives a daily delivery route along with a supply list, preparing the vehicle by gathering stock (such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, bathroom aids, and medical supplies) and loading equipment accordingly.
- Instructs and demonstrates to patients, caregivers, and nursing staff the proper and safe usage of medical equipment.
- Ensures safe driving practices in all job aspects, adhering to traffic laws and company protocols, with safety being the top priority.
- Cleans, disinfects, repairs, and conducts quality checks on all products as required, following established setup procedures (comprehensive in-house training will be provided).
- Maintains a driver log, vehicle checkout, and inspection reports.
- Ensures cleanliness of both the front and back areas, including the dirty equipment area, in accordance with accreditation standards.
- Completes necessary paperwork for all deliveries, pickups, or servicing of equipment while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Participates in all required training, including ongoing educational opportunities.
- Loads and unloads equipment in a safe and orderly manner, following established policies and procedures.
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Exhibits a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Possesses a clean driving record.
- Is capable of lifting loads up to 50 pounds.
- Successfully passes a drug test and background check.
- Acts with integrity and honesty.
