Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mobility Specialist to join our team at Valley Seating and Mobility. As a Mobility Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and advocacy, working closely with the patient care team to ensure the highest quality outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist referral sources in planning and implementing patient care, promoting services and products as needed.
  • Perform initial patient evaluations and ongoing assessments, obtaining required documentation as necessary.
  • Read and evaluate physicians' orders and patient chart information to determine patient condition and treatment protocols.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in patient medical records, including visits, procedures, and telephone contacts.
  • Complete tasks such as receiving, equipment preparation, and repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide education to patients and caregivers on proper use and care of equipment in the home setting, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving equipment problems.
  • Clean, sterilize, check, and maintain all equipment and accessories, inventorying and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Travel to facilities and patient homes to provide services, providing clear and compassionate communication with the patient care team.
  • Assist with the company's quality improvement program to meet accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of mobility experience or successful completion of factory training for HME.
  • RESNA Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification preferred.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Driver's license with clean driving record for 3 years.
