Medical Records Specialist

A Mobility Equipment Coordinator coordinates with the patient care team to provide high-quality patient care and advocacy. They work with referral sources to identify and develop new business opportunities.
The Coordinator evaluates, adjusts, assembles, sets up, instructs, and maintains high-tech equipment. On-the-job training is provided.
They assist referral sources in planning and implementing patient care, maintaining thorough and appropriate documentation in patient medical records, and providing education to patients and caregivers on proper equipment use and care.
The Coordinator also cleans, sterilizes, checks, and maintains equipment and accessories, inventories and orders equipment and supplies, and travels to facilities and patient homes to provide services.
As a RESNA certified Seating and Mobility Specialist (ATP/SMS), they oversee services for Complex and Standard Power and Custom Manual Mobility products.
The goal is to provide quality outcomes through clinically appropriate and cost-effective solutions for patients.
