Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator II to join our team at Special Devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers, suppliers, and testing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare shipments, including packaging, labeling, and marking, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Schedule and prepare domestic and international shipments of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management using ERP system.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve company and department goals.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to established safety guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments.
  • Prepare and submit invoices and electronic notifications to customers.
  • Responsible for cycle counting of finished goods.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including hazardous materials handling.
  • DOT/ICAO certification and forklift certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules, and regulations associated with this position.

Work Environment

The work environment for this role will involve:

  • Regular exposure to lighting and temperature as required for the office and manufacturing areas.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, including radiation.
  • Occasional movement from department to department in unfavorable weather conditions.
  • Exposure to the inherent dangers of the explosive materials used in Special Devices' manufacturing processes.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Regular movement throughout the facility, traversing within production areas, communicating with others, and detecting or exchanging information or ideas.
  • Occasional manual operation of general office productivity and test equipment.
  • Ability to place, reach, detect, ascend/descend, and position self to navigate within confined working spaces.
  • Frequent requirement to remain in a stationary position.
  • Occasional need to move or transport up to 50 pounds.
