Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Development: Lead research projects independently and creatively to meet company goals and milestones. Design, execute, validate, and optimize experimental plans relevant to internal product development processes.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients. Troubleshoot and optimize components related to our cell sorters. Develop applications with deep understanding of the workflow and customers' view/experience in mind.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to commercialize and promote new products and applications. Communicate experimental results to internal stakeholders in the form of reports, weekly presentations, application/technical notes.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead by example, offer scientific coaching and mentoring to other staff members. May have direct reports. Serve as a mentor for junior scientists and research associates.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety: Test and revise quality assurance SOPs and risk assessments on equipment utilized for qualification and/or validation activities. Maintain a safe lab environment. Perform routine laboratory maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Ph.D degree in the life sciences with 10+ years of related experience, or BS/MS in related fields with 15+ years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience with complex bioanalytical instrument setup and troubleshooting; demonstrated ability to identify technical issues, investigate, and propose effective resolutions.
  • 15+ years of hands-on laboratory experience with flow cytometry, FACS, hands-on analysis of data from complex systems cell analysis is required.
  • Expertise in effective management of lab personnel for safety and efficient lab operations.
