Job Title: Customer Service/Solutions Center Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service/Solutions Center Representative to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Grandview Heights, OH.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of insurance and financial services, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and responding to incoming calls from investment professionals, plan sponsors, and members on a variety of topics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide consultative expertise to customers, identifying their needs and offering solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and follow a process of documentation to support our strategy of knowing our customers better than anyone.
  • Ensure compliance with FINRA and other professional licensure requirements, client policies, firms, plan documents, and state and local laws.
  • Educate customers on tax implications, penalties, surrender charges, death benefit protection, lifetime income, capital preservation, and benefits pertaining to the plan/contract.
  • Analyze problems to determine the proper course of action and strive for first-time final resolution.
  • Work with internal partners to resolve escalated issues and integrate lean methodology into daily interactions.
  • Develop and grow through monthly individual meetings with leadership to set in place a career path strategy.
Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Skills: Insurance, Financial, Customer Service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Undergraduate degree in finance, business administration, insurance, economics, communications preferred.
  • ChFC, CLU, other industry designations desirable. FINRA series 6 and/or 26 licenses preferred and may be required based on assigned product/line-of-business or distribution system.
  • One year of experience in customer service, sales-related occupations.
  • Knowledge of various insurance products and the sales process.
  • Solid understanding of state and local laws necessary to understand the legal implications of certain product features in different states.
  • Understands the consequences of not following FINRA rules and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with others.
  • Proficiency with computers and common office software.
  • Ability to understand general aspects of plan/contract and utilize technology to enhance conversations with customers.
Training and Development:

The training program for this role is a total of 5 weeks, hybrid. 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. Training weeks 1-4 will be Monday - Friday, either from 9:00-5:30 EST or 10:00-6:30 EST. Week 5 and beyond will have flexible hours, Monday - Friday, with availability from 8:00-8:00 EST. Post-training, the schedule will be hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
