The Business Analyst plays a crucial role in defining and executing business requirements, ensuring successful project completion through comprehensive discovery, analysis, and documentation of business needs, process flows, use cases, and testing and training plans.

This position collaborates closely with product teams, relationship management, quality assurance, project management, and technology divisions.

The Business Analyst is tasked with performing customer and market needs assessments, developing detailed product and system requirements, and managing all phases of business requirements from initial research to user acceptance testing.

Acting as the intermediary between client subject matter experts and the development team, this role also identifies and supports the development of additional business opportunities within existing clients, applying established delivery methodologies to create effective solutions while understanding client tactical objectives and articulating business requirements in functional terms.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing business-to-system knowledge management and contributing to overall system design, from user interface considerations to backend processes.

This is a collaborative position that demands strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct business line validation for Guardian and Actimize releases in both testing and production environments.
- Collaborate as a subject matter expert with Business Line technology partners.
- Participate in daily stand-up and refinement working sessions.
- Prepare communications and training materials for Guardian and Actimize releases.
- Provide product support to investigation teams, addressing inquiries and gathering feedback from end users.
- Assist with special projects or critical tasks as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Typically, 3+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and teams (this is an Agile environment).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn new software.
- Understanding of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/AML laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of Actimize case management systems.
- Familiarity with retail banking, lending, and banking operations processes.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is preferred.
