About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist V EPS to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a key member of our cardiovascular services department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical skills during complex cardiac interventional procedures, diagnostic/interventional electrophysiology procedures, and structural heart or interventional neuro radiology procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures, and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration.
  • Follow CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately use PPE, and perform hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care.
  • Identify and prepare patient using aseptic technique as dictated by procedure ordered.
  • Exhibit awareness of hazards which may endanger patients.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and enforce safety regulations.
  • Verify orders and facilitate implementation, communicating with physician as needed.
  • Perform treatments and administer medications according to policy and training.
  • Function appropriately in clinical emergencies.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of interventions and medications.
  • Perform within the bounds of the applicable scope of practice for Cardiovascular Interventional Technologists.
  • Facilitate timely patient throughput.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current, valid license in one of the following: Registered Nurse (RN), Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)), Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Paramedic.

  • Cardiovascular Lab experience.
  • Interventional Radiology Lab experience.
  • Pediatric Lab experience.
  • Peripheral Lab experience.
  • Electrophysiology Lab experience.
