Key Responsibilities- Deliver radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by radiation oncologists, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery.
- Maintain and perform daily quality assurance checks on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.
- Manage inventory of department supplies, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing waste.
- Participate in administrative quality assurance checks, contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes.
- Provide exceptional patient care and education, involving patients and their families in care decisions and maintaining confidentiality and modesty.
- Collaborate with the Chief Radiation Therapist and Lead Radiation Therapist to develop new techniques and resolve clinical problems.
- Participate in continuing education activities and clinical instruction, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in radiation therapy.
- Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet patient volume and departmental needs.
- Valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Therapy
- Valid ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy, obtained within 3 months of employment
- Valid BLS certification
- Proficient in the use of Radiation Oncology Information Systems and software, including ARIA, EPIC, ExacTrac, and Eclipse
