Lead Systems Engineer

Location: Arlington, VA

The Lead Systems Engineer will be proficient in executing system, network, software, and security engineering tasks to guarantee that both current and future capabilities align with governmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an automated testing framework to support a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development model, alongside conducting functional testing, product validation, and system integration.
  • Generate assessment, analysis, and evaluation reports.
  • Oversee the integration and application of approved technical specifications, Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and related artifacts as defined by the relevant authorities.
  • Maintain a secure testing and demonstration environment for the assessment and authorization of systems.
  • Assist in identifying emerging technologies for potential integration into existing and future programs to meet mission requirements, including but not limited to cloud services and data analytics.
  • Provide management support for both traditional systems and those operating within virtual or cloud environments.
  • Support the planning, execution, and management of data backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations initiatives.
  • Design, test, and implement hardware, software, applications, and capabilities within the testing environments for evaluation prior to integration.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A BA/BS degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications must meet DoD 8140 & 8570 standards as required.
  • A Top Secret clearance is mandatory, with the ability to obtain an SCI clearance.

  • Proficiency in managing a complex workload, effectively coordinating multiple resources, and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge and expertise in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
