The Lead Systems Engineer will be proficient in executing system, network, software, and security engineering and development to guarantee that existing and forthcoming capabilities align with governmental mandates.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish an automated testing framework to endorse a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development model, alongside conducting functional testing, new product validation, and system integration.
- Generate assessment, analysis, and evaluation documentation.
- Facilitate the integration and application of approved technical specifications, Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and associated artifacts and standards.
- Oversee a classified testing and demonstration environment suitable for testing, integration, assessment, and authorization.
- Assist in identifying emerging technologies for potential integration into current and future initiatives to meet mission objectives based on business case analysis, including but not limited to cloud services and data analytics.
- Provide management support for both traditional systems and those operating within virtual or cloud environments.
- Support the planning, execution, and management of data backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations initiatives.
- Develop, test, and implement hardware, software, applications, and capabilities within demonstration and testing environments for evaluation prior to inclusion in the baseline.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8140 & 8570 as required.
- Top Secret clearance required with the capability to obtain an SCI clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Capacity to manage a substantial, intricate workload, effectively coordinate multiple resources, and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
- Adept at handling contentious situations with tact and diplomacy.
