Your leadership will guide a team of engineers, focusing on data analysis, cyber threat research, and the development of tools to support these initiatives. Your expertise in adversary tactics and intelligence gathering will be essential in addressing evolving threats.

Collaboration with Capture Managers on proposals, participation in marketing efforts, attendance at industry conferences, and engagement with peers will be key components of your role, aimed at enhancing our business capabilities.

This position offers flexibility for telework, with the option to work on-site as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead research and development projects as Principal Investigator or Chief Engineer.
  • Contribute to submissions for cyber-related proposals.
  • Analyze network and host activities associated with advanced intrusion attempts.
  • Conduct comprehensive network traffic analysis utilizing various tools.
  • Develop custom signatures to counteract emerging threats.
  • Employ forensic tools for in-depth attack analysis.
  • Investigate emerging cyber threats and provide actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the creation of threat intelligence reports and briefings.
  • Engage in proactive threat hunting operations.
  • Collaborate with industry peers to achieve shared objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity or network defense.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing diverse engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in Linux systems and networking protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced cyber threats and mitigation techniques.
  • Experience in intrusion detection and digital forensics.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML, Python, and C++ programming languages.
  • Eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of threat models such as ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
  • Experience with mobile operating systems and networks.
  • Previous experience as a Threat Researcher or Intelligence Analyst.
  • Skills in malware analysis and reverse engineering techniques.
  • Familiarity with cryptographic methods and cryptanalysis.
  • Ability to create and implement Snort and YARA signatures.
  • Knowledge of CNE, CNA, and CND tools and methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or SANS GIAC.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying threat intelligence.
  • A history of publishing research findings.
