Maintenance Technician Position Overview
QPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a company in Quincy, IL. This is a direct hire, 1st shift position that offers a great opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Perform skilled installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair on systems in specific trades, including electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, boilers, or hydraulics.
* Conduct calibration and preventive maintenance on basic and complex mechanical and electronic equipment.
* Install, maintain, and repair laundry facilities and equipment, assuming independent responsibility for the overall preventive maintenance of assigned laundry equipment.
* Work in close proximity to hot laundry equipment and in tight crawl spaces, around steam pipes and electrical lines, while adhering to OSHA safety practices.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
* Troubleshoot electronic systems and components.
* Lead new and upcoming projects, including installs, moves, and repairs.
* Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
**Requirements:**
* Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
