Job Overview

As a key member of our team, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the creation, management, and maintenance of purchase orders for materials and parts.
  • Assist in reviewing and tracking the status of open purchase orders and delivery timelines.
  • Help resolve scheduling conflicts and delivery delays, taking corrective actions to meet production requirements.
  • Identify and communicate potential issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the point of contact between internal teams and external suppliers, handling engineering, quality, and delivery concerns.
  • Coordinate activities to resolve quality issues, including processing actions to recover costs or credits.
  • Maintain accurate records, system parameters, and files, and generate periodic reports for review and distribution.
  • Provide support to other buyers and the supervisor, including resolving delivery discrepancies and reconciling supplier invoices.
  • Ensure departmental safety by maintaining housekeeping and 5S standards, using required personal protective equipment, and reporting or correcting any safety concerns.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in materials/purchasing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and a strong sense of urgency.
