Linux Database Migration Specialist

Overview:
The NavitsPartners company is enhancing its eligibility and enrollment processes through the One Health Initiative by integrating systems to provide a single point of access for public health insurance applications.
This role supports the "Lift and Shift" migration of the MA21 mainframe system to AWS Cloud, a crucial step in modernizing Medicaid program access.
The Linux Database Migration Specialist will coordinate with development, business, and cloud rehosting teams to ensure a smooth migration and ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain Adabas/Natural applications in a Linux server (RedHat preferred) cloud environment.
Design, implement, and optimize Adabas databases for performance and scalability.
Support AWS cloud rehosting, defect resolution, and system stability in alignment with business needs.
Collaborate on system documentation, project planning, and scheduling.
Implement backup, recovery, and performance optimization processes using Adabas tools and Software AG products (Adabas, EntireX Communicator, Natural Security, Predict, and others).
Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per year, based on industry standards for a Linux Database Migration Specialist in Quincy, MA.
Requirements:
- Strong Linux, AWS, and Software AG product knowledge, experience with Adabas Manager, database optimization, and shell scripting.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of MA HIX or similar health exchanges, vendor management, Microsoft 365, Jira, and SDLC.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 10+ years in IT, 5+ years as an Adabas DBA.
- Government or healthcare experience preferred.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position, with a mix of remote and on-site work in Quincy, MA.
