Position Overview

As a Credit Administration Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing essential administrative support to our Credit Department, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining customer credit records. The Credit Administration Associate will be tasked with researching customer credit information, processing credit applications, managing clerical duties, and assisting the Credit Manager with various responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative assistance to the Credit Manager and Credit Department.
  • Process bank and trade references from incoming or existing credit applications and present completed applications to the Credit Manager for review and approval, updating customer credit limits and terms as necessary.
  • Notify customers of their approved credit terms and limits.
  • Efficiently handle incoming and outgoing credit inquiries.
  • Communicate with customers to collect past-due invoices.
  • Collaborate with various departments regarding customer account matters.
  • Prepare final demand notifications and collection packets as directed by the Credit Manager, reporting relevant information and payments to third-party collection agencies.
  • Monitor and respond to emails in the credit inbox promptly.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls from the credit line.
  • Prepare weekly aging reports and bi-weekly delinquent account reports.
  • Assist with special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Credit Administration Associate or in collections, within an office environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, high accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is essential.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly sit, talk, and hear; use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • This position is based in an office environment.
