We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the construction industry. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a fundamental role in our financial management, including all corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Financial Reporting: Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned tasks within deadlines, and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Financial Analysis: Reconcile bank statements, payroll, vendor accounts, and treasury accounts, and research and resolve accounting matters in a timely manner.
- Financial Compliance: Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations, and develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Financial Planning: Analyze financial data and create monthly reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization, and assist in the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate financial requirements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with a software system implementation.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Automatic Data Processing (ADP).
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently, high attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proven ability to manage and lead a team.
