Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Floor Leader to join our team at Lush Handmade Cosmetics. As a key member of our store management team, you will play a vital role in driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading a team of sales associates to achieve and surpass their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Customer Experience:
    • Drive sales by utilizing sales metrics and providing effective coaching and feedback to the sales team.
    • Lead by example in delivering a world-class customer experience, including product demonstrations and consultations.
    • Educate customers on Lush brand values and articulate our position on Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and make informed recommendations to customers.
  • Team Involvement:
    • Train and coach sales associates on effective sales techniques and product knowledge to improve their performance.
    • Encourage open communication and actively listen to team members' perspectives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
    • Foster a sense of belonging by promoting teamwork, encouraging collaboration, and recognizing and valuing each employee's unique contributions.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Manage cash handling, including customer transactions, opening/closing the register, reconciling cash drawers, and securing the store at the end of each day.
    • Lead by example in terms of attendance and punctuality, and encourage the same from all employees.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store to enhance the customer's shopping experience and drive sales.
    • Train team members on inventory best practices and support management with inventory tasks.
    • Support management in ensuring the store is compliant with company standards for opening and closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety.
    Requirements:
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and sales, cash handling, and supervisory experience.
    • Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business.
    • Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with consultation-based customer service models.
    • Experience analyzing sales metrics.
    • Experience working in skincare or cosmetics.
    • Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training.
    • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages.
