Position Overview
As a Security Transport Specialist, you will collaborate with your team to guarantee the safe and secure collection and delivery of cash, coins, and other valuables.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate automatic armored vehicles and other transportation units along designated routes to service client locations.
- Maintain and service ATMs and Smart Safes.
- Conduct customer service stops, including delivering change orders and collecting deposits.
- Load and unload vehicle cargo, which may include multiple bags and boxes of coins.
- Count items, document, and acknowledge receipt of cargo.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a minimum of a 3-year driving record.
- Ability to obtain a Medical Examiners Certificate through a US Department of Transportation approved medical examiner.
- A valid firearms permit or the capability to meet applicable firearms requirements may be necessary.
- Full-time schedule averaging 40 to 50 hours per week, typically requiring a minimum of 5 days within a 6-day period. Weekend work may be required occasionally.
- Approximately 90-95 percent of work is conducted in an air-conditioned vehicle, within individual compartments (front and rear).
As part of the qualification process for the Security Transport Specialist role, candidates must successfully complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) which includes testing in the following areas:
Physical Requirements:
- 25lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 66 inches from the floor (1X)
- 18lbs vertical lift from 1 inch to 44 inches from the floor, and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X)
- 18lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X)
- 50lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 2ft (2X)
- Horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm), a distance of 1ft (2X)
- Squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30lbs / both right & left hands (4X)
- Ascend / Descend a step with heights of 24 inches from the floor (10X)
