We are currently seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities of the Medication Technician:
  • Review service plans to gather essential information about residents.
  • Assist and monitor medication administration for each resident, adhering to the medication observation record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
  • Document and initial forms as medications are administered, including appropriate notes for refusals or missed doses.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information, particularly concerning medications.
  • Report any resident concerns encountered during medication assistance to the Nurse or Health Care Coordinator.
  • Assist in verifying medications, regardless of the packaging system used.
  • Count all narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse at the beginning of each shift.
  • Immediately report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp objects, and hazardous chemicals.

Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
