Position Overview
The Regional EyeCare Executive is pivotal in advancing the EYEXAM of California's mission and ensuring the success of its corporate and sublease locations. This role collaborates closely with the President of EYEXAM and the Clinical Director to attract, select, contract, orient, evaluate, develop, motivate, and retain optometrists and support staff. The goal is to foster a collaborative environment with store management to deliver exceptional quality of care, enhance patient experiences, engage associates, and achieve business objectives across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Formulate and execute strategic sales and examination plans for the office.
- Coaching and Development: Mentor optometrists and office staff to enhance sales performance, increase examination rates, and improve Net Promoter Scores (NPS).
- Performance Tracking: Monitor results, analyze trends, and assess the effectiveness of action plans in targeted offices.
- Optometric Staffing: Support recruitment efforts to maintain a robust pool of candidates for open positions; conduct interviews as necessary.
- Patient Satisfaction: Collaborate with supervisors to implement analysis and action plans aimed at improving NPS; coach optometrists on best practices for patient satisfaction.
- Communication and Culture: Lead initiatives to address significant optometric issues affecting optometrists, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
- Training and Development: Enhance the quality of care and NPS by coaching employed optometrists and developing new training programs.
- Policy Implementation: Enforce policies and guidelines established by the EYEXAM Board of Directors and Quality Assurance Committee; recommend revisions as necessary.
- Clinical Support: Assist in evaluating new eye care products and technologies to enhance service delivery.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with ophthalmic vendors for various optometric activities, including training and meetings.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to Medicare and insurance coding and billing guidelines to optimize revenue.
Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and valid O.D. license in California.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the optical industry.
Compensation is determined by various factors, including experience, qualifications, and local wage requirements. A competitive bonus and/or commission plan may also be offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off, and employee discounts.
