Job Summary

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Back End Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our back end equipment, including flangers, beaders, light testers, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and set-up of back end equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Inspect and monitor can specifications, including flanged can height, factory finished can height, and more.
  • Conduct visual checks of cans to ensure compliance with quality standards and take corrective action as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation, including process check sheets and maintenance check sheets.
  • Perform Equipment Set-up Evaluations (ESE) and make adjustments as required.
  • Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a smooth flow of cans through the plant.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures and work practices.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment safely.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, gauges, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to use precision measurement devices, such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
