Job Summary:

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Front End Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Front End Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the set up, operation, and maintenance of the cupping press, body makers, trimmers, and conveying systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and load coils onto the unwinder and feed coils through lubricator and into press.
  • Set up, maintain, and operate the upender, unwinder, lubricator, and cupping press.
  • Set up, maintain, and operate the body makers, trimmers, and conveying systems.
  • Inspect and monitor can specifications, including flange wall thickness, mid-wall thickness, dome depth, and trim can height.
  • Perform visual checks and cup weights to ensure process compliance and take corrective action.
  • Assist in other areas as needed to maintain smooth can flow through the plant.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation, such as coil log and check sheets.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and machines and practice proper safety procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components.
  • Ability to use precision measurement devices, such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of can making process and equipment.
