Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Back End Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of back end equipment, including flangers, beaders, and conveyors. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and set-up of back end equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Inspect and monitor can specifications, including flange height, factory finished can height, and axial load
  • Conduct visual checks of cans to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation, including process check sheets and maintenance check sheets
  • Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a smooth flow of cans through the plant
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Ability to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to safely operate production forklift
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, gauges, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to use precision measurement devices, such as calipers and micrometers
Working Environment
