Job Summary

The Nursing Practice Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Nursing Officer at the acute care facility by driving practice standardization and ensuring seamless implementation of new changes. This role involves reviewing quality, safety, and patient satisfaction data to identify areas for improvement and developing action plans to address them. The coordinator will also lead improvement efforts and collaborate with the Clinical Education department to ensure competency-based training requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols that support evidence-based practice and drive performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Practice team to ensure timely rollout and implementation of new policies, procedures, and practices on all shifts.
  • Provide just-in-time education based on changes in practice, root cause analyses, and code debriefings.
  • Review quality and safety data to identify skill gaps and develop action plans to address them.
  • Lead efficient go-lives for new products and initiatives, making decisions regarding order sets and ensuring adoption on all shifts.
  • Partner with the Clinical Education department to review regulatory education, certification, and competency validation compliance data and improve compliance.
  • Support newly hired and/or newly transferred clinical team members at the facility level, providing encouragement and aid to new graduate team members in the residency program.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing Administration
  • 3 years of acute care experience
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of office equipment and basic computer skills
