Job Title: Business Manager/Risk Management

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is seeking a highly skilled Business Manager/Risk Management professional to join our team. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will be responsible for overseeing personnel and operational needs, as well as managing risk and building and property operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee facility operations for the Jack Joseph and Morton Mandel building and other properties owned by the Federation.
  • Manage risk and insurance programs, including reviewing renewals and managing claims.
  • Supervise direct reports, including the Supervisor, Building Maintenance; Manager Cemetery Operations; and the Conference Center Administrator.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director/Assistant Controller, CFO, and Legal Team to review contracts and vendor relations.
  • Perform special projects and operations, including grant reporting and internal and external communication.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in building and property management and/or risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with internal and external business partners and employees.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills, with ability to set priorities and maintain composure under stress.
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate direct reports.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
