Job Title: Risk Management Director

Join MetroHealth as a Risk Management Director and play a critical role in ensuring the organization's safety and well-being. As a key member of the Ethics, Risk and Compliance (ERC) Department, you will be responsible for overseeing risk management activities and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate project scope, objectives, and costs
  • Prepare work plans and schedules, including requirements, tasks, work assignments, resources, and project milestones
  • Coordinate ERC staff and third-party vendors to support various ERC projects
  • Perform and improve project management functions, program coordination, and project reporting for the ERC Department
  • Support the ERC leadership team, including routine and ad hoc support to the Board of Trustees
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management, or related field
  • 6-8 years of related work experience, including some supervisory experience
  • Experience conducting sensitive and/or confidential reviews/investigations
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with personnel from various disciplines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, etc.
  • Certification in Risk Management
  • Certification in Patient Safety (CPSO, CHSP)
  • 1 or more years of experience as a Healthcare risk manager within a hospital setting or in the insurance industry
Physical Demands:

May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job-related documents. Ability to use computer.
